These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the BlockMyApps application and the website at blockmyapps.com.

BlockMyApps is operated by Oleg Tatarciuc (“BlockMyApps”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By downloading, accessing, purchasing, or using BlockMyApps, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the app or website.

1. What BlockMyApps Does

BlockMyApps is a voluntary screen-time and app-usage management tool for iPhone and iPad.

The app may allow you to:

  • block selected apps or categories manually;
  • organize apps into groups;
  • schedule blocking periods;
  • set usage limits;
  • view screen-time related information;
  • request temporary or emergency access where available.

BlockMyApps is intended to help you create friction around your own app usage. It does not guarantee that you will use your device less, improve productivity, sleep better, or change a habit.

You remain responsible for how you use your device.

2. Apple Screen Time Permissions

Some BlockMyApps features depend on Apple's Screen Time frameworks and require you to grant Screen Time or Family Controls authorization.

If you:

  • revoke required permissions;
  • uninstall BlockMyApps;
  • modify relevant system settings;
  • change device configuration;
  • update or restore your device;
  • encounter an iOS limitation or operating-system issue,

blocking, schedules, usage limits, or other features may stop working or behave differently.

BlockMyApps cannot guarantee uninterrupted blocking because parts of the functionality depend on Apple's operating system, APIs, permissions, and platform behavior.

3. Temporary and Emergency Access

BlockMyApps may provide methods that allow you to regain access to an app during a block, including temporary or emergency access.

These features exist because BlockMyApps is designed for voluntary self-management rather than as an irreversible lock.

You are responsible for selecting settings that are appropriate for your circumstances.

Do not rely on BlockMyApps as a safety-critical, parental-control, medical, legal, emergency, or security system.

4. Eligibility

You must be legally capable of agreeing to these Terms.

If you are under the age at which you can enter into a binding agreement in your country, you may use BlockMyApps only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian.

If you purchase a subscription through the App Store, you must also comply with Apple's applicable account and purchase requirements.

5. Free and Paid Features

BlockMyApps may offer both free and paid functionality.

Features included in a free or paid tier may change over time. We may add, remove, improve, or reorganize features where reasonably necessary to develop and maintain the service.

If a material change affects an active paid subscription, applicable consumer law and App Store requirements will continue to apply.

6. Subscriptions

Certain BlockMyApps features may require an auto-renewable subscription purchased through Apple's App Store.

The subscription duration, price, included features, free-trial period, and other purchase information shown to you at the time of purchase form part of these Terms.

Billing

Payments are processed by Apple and charged to your Apple Account according to Apple's App Store terms.

BlockMyApps does not directly process your payment-card information.

Automatic Renewal

Auto-renewable subscriptions continue and renew for the applicable subscription period unless you cancel them through Apple.

The renewal price shown by Apple applies unless the price changes in accordance with Apple's rules and applicable law.

Free Trials and Introductory Offers

If you start a free trial or introductory offer, eligibility and duration are determined through the App Store.

Unless you cancel in time, the subscription may convert to a paid auto-renewable subscription at the price shown when you subscribed.

Apple advises users who do not want a free or discounted trial to renew to cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.

Cancellation

You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple Account subscription settings.

Deleting BlockMyApps does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription.

Refunds

App Store purchases and refund requests are handled by Apple, subject to Apple's policies and applicable law.

Where applicable consumer law gives you additional mandatory refund or cancellation rights, those rights are not limited by these Terms.

7. Restoring Purchases

Where supported, BlockMyApps may allow you to restore purchases associated with your Apple Account.

Purchase and entitlement status may be verified through Apple and our subscription-management provider.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • misuse BlockMyApps or attempt to interfere with its normal operation;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or services used by BlockMyApps;
  • use the app or website for unlawful purposes;
  • distribute malicious code through our services;
  • copy, modify, sell, sublicense, or redistribute BlockMyApps except where applicable law expressly allows it;
  • reverse engineer or attempt to derive source code except to the extent such restrictions are prohibited by law.

Nothing in this section limits rights you have under mandatory law.

9. Intellectual Property

BlockMyApps, including its software, branding, logo, visual design, website content, text, graphics, and other original materials, is owned by us or licensed to us and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

These Terms give you permission to use BlockMyApps for your own personal use. They do not transfer ownership of the app or its intellectual property to you.

Third-party trademarks, app names, and icons remain the property of their respective owners.

10. Apple Terms

BlockMyApps is distributed through Apple's App Store.

Your license to use the app is also subject to Apple's applicable App Store terms and Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement unless a different valid license is provided.

Apple's Standard EULA is available at:

https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

If these Terms conflict with mandatory App Store terms regarding the license or distribution of the app, the applicable Apple terms will control to the extent of that conflict.

Apple is not responsible for providing maintenance or support for BlockMyApps except where Apple expressly agrees otherwise.

11. Third-Party Services

BlockMyApps relies on third-party services and platforms, including Apple services and, for subscription management, RevenueCat.

Availability or operation of those services may affect BlockMyApps.

We are not responsible for outages, changes, restrictions, or failures caused by third-party services that are outside our reasonable control.

Third-party services are subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

12. App Availability and Changes

We aim to keep BlockMyApps reliable, but we do not promise that every feature will always be available, error-free, or compatible with every device or future iOS version.

We may:

  • release updates;
  • fix or modify features;
  • stop supporting older operating-system versions;
  • suspend a feature for security or technical reasons;
  • discontinue the app or parts of it.

Where required by law, we will provide reasonable notice of material changes affecting paid services.

13. No Professional Advice

BlockMyApps provides productivity and screen-time management tools.

It does not provide medical, psychological, psychiatric, legal, financial, or other professional advice.

If your phone use is affecting your health, safety, or wellbeing, consider speaking with an appropriate qualified professional.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BlockMyApps and the website are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee that:

  • the app will always operate without interruption or error;
  • a scheduled block will always activate exactly as expected;
  • every selected app can always be blocked;
  • Screen Time data will always be available or accurate;
  • using BlockMyApps will produce a particular behavioral, productivity, or wellbeing result.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or relating to your use of or inability to use BlockMyApps.

This may include loss of data, lost opportunities, business interruption, or losses resulting from reliance on a blocking schedule.

Where applicable law does not allow a particular exclusion or limitation, that exclusion or limitation applies only to the maximum extent permitted.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.

16. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to be responsible for losses or claims resulting from your unlawful misuse of BlockMyApps or a material violation of these Terms.

This section does not apply where prohibited by consumer law.

17. Termination

You may stop using BlockMyApps at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access to services we control if reasonably necessary because of:

  • serious or repeated violation of these Terms;
  • fraud or abuse;
  • legal requirements;
  • security risks;
  • discontinuation of the service.

Termination does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription. Subscription cancellation must be completed through Apple.

18. Privacy

Your use of BlockMyApps is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

Please review it to understand how information is processed.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms when BlockMyApps changes or when legal requirements change.

The latest version will be posted on blockmyapps.com with an updated date.

If a change materially affects your rights in relation to a paid service, we will provide any notice required by applicable law.

Continuing to use BlockMyApps after updated Terms become effective means that the updated Terms apply, except where applicable law requires additional consent.

20. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, excluding conflict-of-law rules, except that mandatory consumer-protection laws in your country of residence continue to apply where required.

If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, or another jurisdiction that gives you mandatory local rights, nothing in these Terms deprives you of those rights.
